How To add Romance to Your Life With Feng Shui??

How To add Romance to Your Life With Feng Shui?? photoThough it is not commonly known, a Feng Shui life can actually help to improve your love life. Romance and love is as much a part of most peoples’ lives as food and air; so it makes sense that not having the proper flow of energy in your life may affect the romance in your life as well.
There are areas of your home that may influence your love life, such as the right rear corner of your house. This is your relationship corner. In addition to this, the bedroom is also a relationship area. If you apply some basic Feng Shui life techniques to these areas of your home, you will be more successful at attracting the right type of love energy into your life.

The very first thing you must do is cut all ties that you are keeping around to past relationships. This may include old letters, gifts or pictures. These things are nothing more than a reminder of a happy time that no longer exists. This alone, can bring sadness and bad energy into your life.

Even if you are single, set up your home as if a couple lives in it. With the Feng Shui life this is a way of attracting the energy that will bring love into your environment. Don’t overcrowd your home with your own stuff, leaving no room for another. This brings on an attitude that you have no room in your life for another person.
In addition, you should remove all things from the relationship areas of your home that may distract you from focusing on romance. This may include work related items, televisions etc. Simply move these objects to other areas of your home.
Remove some of the solitary items in these areas and replace them with matching pairs. This may include objects such as candles, pillows etc. You want to attract the energy for couples, not singles.

Add some pink to the relationship areas of your home. In the Feng Shui life, the color pink holds love energy. Pink roses or anything pink in these areas can help add some romance to your life.

These are just some very basic steps you can follow to add some romance to your life with the concept of the Feng Shui life. Try it; you just may be surprised at how much improvement you see.

Healthy Neighborhoods Make Healthier Kids

June 26th, 2009 No comments
Healthy Neighborhoods Make Healthier Kids photoExperts say many communities across the nation are becoming less healthy, a dangerous trend that can harm children health.

Often, these problems exist because the way communities are designed can have serious health consequences, especially for children and families.

For example, in urban areas, lack of sidewalks, safe spaces to play, and access to fresh foods contribute to increases in childhood obesity. In communities all across the country, children are exposed to preventable toxins at home, at school and outdoors that can cause serious diseases.

Many children, especially those living in low-income communities, do not have a nearby doctor or pharmacy to provide them with the health care they need.

Fortunately, there are things communities across the nation are doing to improve children health. For instance, in MacArthur Park, one of the poorest neighborhoods in Los Angeles, the community came together to create a free health clinic and new affordable housing. An abandoned minimal was transformed into a new charter school that offers health and recreation programs for families in the community.

Delaware County, Ohio-the fastest growing county in the state-offers another example of what people working together can accomplish. Unchecked growth had begun to impact residents’ health when the community launched a rigorous assessment to identify areas for improvement. As a result, more parks are being built and community programs were created to encourage families and children to be more active.

Is your neighborhood healthy for children? Five questions to ask:

1. Is my family’s house free of harmful levels of mold, lead and other kinds of toxic substances?

2. Is there a safe playground nearby where my children can play?

3. Is there a grocery store in my community that offers fresh meat, fruits and vegetables?

4. Is there a health clinic or pharmacy in my neighborhood?

5. Is the air in my neighborhood clean and safe for my kids to breathe?

Choosing A Quality Online Florist

June 20th, 2009 No comments

Choosing A Quality Online Florist photoThe first thing to look at when choosing an online florist is whether or not the company is a real florist. There are actually many companies that claim to be but are not. Instead, these companies are resellers or affiliates. This means they just take your flower arrangement order and send it to a florist. As a result, your flower arrangement might not be the best quality. You will also probably spend more to send flower arrangements this way. This is because you are paying the commission for the reseller.

Choose Local

An online florist can have a flower shop anywhere in the world. For flower arrangements to stay fresh, they cannot travel great distances. Therefore, choose an online florist with a shop in the area where you plan to send flower arrangements. That way, your flower arrangement will be fresh when it gets to the person you are sending it to.

It is actually easier to choose a local florist than you might think. First, go to a search engine, such as Google. Then, type in “florist” and the name of the city where you wish to send flower arrangements. This will bring up many different florists for the area. Some will then allow you to complete your order online.

If you still aren’t sure about the florist, call. Ask the worker if they are a local business. Then, ask for directions to the shop. If the person is unable to give you directions, it’s a sure sign it isn’t really a local flower shop. You might also want to check with the Better Business Bureau to make sure the florist has a solid reputation.

Choose Secure

When shopping online for a beautiful flower arrangement, you also want to be sure you are safe. This means you should only order a flower arrangement from a florist with a secure server. A secure server guarantees no one will be able to steal your credit card information. To be sure the web site is secure, look for a small “lock” symbol on the computer screen. It is usually in the bottom left corner of the browser. Sometimes, it can be found in the top right corner instead. If you don’t see this symbol, don’t shop with that florist. Your personal information will be open for anyone to find and to read if you do.

Choose Honest

When choosing a florist, you also want to work only with one that is honest with its customers. For example, a florist who claims to offer free flower delivery or to be tax-free is not being honest. The flower delivery driver has to be paid somehow. At the same time, taxes have to be paid. You will pay for the flower delivery and taxes one way or another. Either the flowers will be more expensive or, worse yet, you might get a low quality flower arrangement. A good florist will have all of this information on the website. You should be able to easily find out how much delivery costs and how much tax you will pay.
